Join us for an unforgettable 10-day experience that combines the best of Italian culture with hands-on creative learning. You'll explore iconic landmarks in Rome, settle into the charming medieval town of Spoleto, and spend quality time developing your artistic skills with instructor Heidi. Over three dedicated workshop days, you'll create individual pieces that come together to form a stunning Italy-themed mosaic quilt, a one-of-a-kind keepsake that captures your journey.
Rather than rushing from place to place, you'll have time to connect with your surroundings, your fellow travelers, and your creativity. Between workshop sessions, you'll discover hidden gems like Todi and Rasiglia, taste local wines in Montefalco, learn the ancient art of mosaic-making, and try your hand at traditional Italian cooking. This is Italy at a comfortable pace—with plenty of time to create, explore, and savor every moment.

The tour starts with a Welcome Dinner on Day 1, Thursday, August 27th at our group hotel in Rome.
The tour ends after breakfast on Day 10, Saturday, September 5th at our group hotel in Spoleto.

HEIDI PROFFETTY
Heidi Proffetty is a mosaic art quilter, a national quilting and sewing educator and Janome Sewing Machines content provider. She is noted for her distinctive mosaic quilting style, which she creates mosaic designs using her own digital cutter process. Her quilting and other sewing techniques have been featured in Art Quilting Studio, AQ Magazine, Quilting Arts Magazine, Create Whimsy, Sew Beautiful, and she has appeared on The Quilt Show and on Quilting Arts TV. Heidi lives in Massachusetts and when she is not quilting and sewing, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, recreational flying with her husband, relaxing on a beach, cooking, baking, and beekeeping.
