Mary Kerr is an American Quilt Society certified appraiser, author of 9 books and an award-winning quilter. She grew up in a family of quilters and has been teaching since 1987. She is a quilt historian whose lectures and workshops focus on quilt history and the preservation of antique textiles. Her current work marries her love of all things vintage with the freedom of expression that is encouraged in our Art and Modern Quilt communities. Mary owns Pieced of Olde, a small business that specializes in the restoration and repair of antique textiles. Her quilt studio, The Barn on Pine Grove, is nestled in the Shenandoah mountains of Virginia.
