I’m thrilled to share this curated tour featuring some of Japan’s most beautiful and exciting destinations. We’ll closely explore Kyoto, the cultural heart of Japan as well as venturing off the beaten path to take a deeper dive into the broader traditional textiles and history of Japan.
Filled with museum visits and workshops led by master craftspeople, you’ll discover a wide variety of textiles and other traditional arts. We will visit many sites of great cultural and historical significance and enjoy the unparalleled serenity of Japan’s natural landscapes and beautiful gardens.
Every day, you’ll have a chance to enjoy delicious Japanese cuisine, from modern street food to traditional dinners. You’ll stay at a traditional inn with the chance to experience a renowned onsen hot bath. There will be endless opportunities to purchase gorgeous, one-of-a-kind fabrics for your projects, and other treasures from the many shops and flea markets you’ll visit. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I hope you’ll join me in exploring Japan!
The tour starts at 6.00pm, Sunday May 14, at Sheraton Miyako Hotel Osaka and finishes on Friday May 26, at Kansai International Airport. Please contact us to arrange your arrival transfer from Kansai or ITAMI Airport.
